Skardu: An Entry to Royal and Surprising Journeys

Skardu , located in the northern part of Pakistan, is a true wonder that charms with its stunning landscapes and strong amalgamation of culture. Altogether, situated at an elevation of approximately 2,500 meters (8,200 feet) above sea level, this beautiful city is a starting point of many adventures, which challenge even the best climbers, namely, the Karakoram Range that hosts the second highest peak on the planet – K2.

One of the attractive destinations that tourists cannot afford to miss in Skardu is the Shangril a Resort perhaps famously referred to as “Heaven on Earth” it offers a unique feature of a so-called “Heart Lake”, which is an area of water that includes of cottages and exquisite greenery in the middle of the heart shape.

Another example of the magnificent location is Satpara Lake, which offers a natural and serene environment for tourists to relax. With crystal clear water, the centre of the lake will reflect the mountains that circle it making the whole imagery look like a picture from the calendar.

But let me also clarify, that Skardu is not only about the beautiful sceneries, it is also the center of tourism and adventurers. It is an important center for climbers as the starting point for climbing some of the most difficult and interesting peaks in the world – K2, Broad Peak and Gasherbrum masses. A chain of soaring mountains, often with a steep inclination and difficult to surmount, provides thrilling trekking experiences to the adventurous people across the world.

There are numerous ways of recitation a culture, but given our context the two terms that combine most correctly are cultural richness and warm hospitality.

Still Skardu is also rich in cultural of Pakistan where lush green beautiful valleys, people and flowers sings melodious songs. The Balti people are indeed a warm hospitable population with cultural values deeply ingrained in their system. Museum and historical sites such as the Fort of Skardu, depicting the history of the area, and the reformed Shigar Fort which is a palace constructed in the 17th century and is a blend of burdt and gothic construction.

The bazaar is extra area to interact with people in the town; you will find local handicraft, woolen products, and traditional Balti foods. Yak Butter Tea, Apricot Soup and local Breads are some of the foods that a visitor should not afford to miss while on a tour guide.
